CACAO & HAZELNUT BALLS

These balls are RAW, VEGAN, GLUTEN FREE, DAIRY FREE, REFINED SUGAR FREE

Snacking is a healthy habit: it keeps your energy level high and the hunger under control. I normally snack on fruit, but once in a while I like to switch to something sweet but guilt free. I love hazelnut and cacao, but I don’t like that much the taste of dates: so, after a few attempts, I came up with this recipe with a just perfect combination of ingredients. You won’t believe these balls are made with only natural ingredients.

The process is super simple: add the below ingredients to a food processor, mix, roll into small balls and then roll into shredded coconut. Keep in fridge for up to 5 days (mine lasted 2 days!).

  1. 150 gr pitted medjool dates (let soften in warm water for 10 minutes)
  2. 70 gr hazelnuts
  3. 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  4. 1 tbsp chia seeds (rich of vitamin D, excellent for lactose intolerant)
  5. 2 tbsp almond butter
  6. 1 tsp coconut oil
